Today when I woke up, I was 38 years old and North Carolina was outside my window. A rented window in a rented house, but North Carolina and hills and mountains, with a nip in the air and the sweet smell of grass on a rainy day. Happy B-Day to me! From this house, we start the search for our farm.

There's so much to write about, but for now this is gonna have to do. It was a rough move and a fast one, and without the help of my beloved Fritter Girl Erin it would've gone much worse. She stuck with us and worked way into the night to get everything packed and loaded as together we played trailer Tetris!

The dogs and the cat are suprisingly free of most of the stressed out antics we were expecting from them, and they're even getting along better than usual. The dogs slept the entire 12 hour drive for the most part, Pi Kitty took a few minutes here and there to yell about being stuck in her carrier but was decent enough.

D starts his new job soon, he's always so confidant even though I know he has to be a little nervous about the new environment, first day as the new kid. The rented washer and dryer are getting delivered tomorrow, we didn't wanna be stuck using the laundry mat since it's a far piece down the road.

This is such a rambling post.

Love,

squirrel leigh
